Penny Mac's flowers appear throughout the warm summer months because they also set flower buds on new shoots that produce flowers that same summer. These reblooming, hydrangeas tend to produce more flowers in late summer than typical types. Depending on soil type, the blooms will appear pink in alkaline soil and blue in acidic soil. Use in shade perennial beds, in borders, or foundations in part shade.
Grows 4-5' height and spread.
L.A. Dreamin' Hydrangea has bloom shades of pink, purple and blue all on the same plant. The blooms emerge in the summer and fall on both old and new wood. Does best in morning sun and afternoon shade.

A dwarf form of the 'Limelight' hydrangea, 'Little Lime' has the same great cone-shaped flowers but is about a third the size of the original. The lime-green flowers mature to pink and burgundy in fall. Use the blooms for fresh-cut or dried floral arrangements. Fits easily into smaller landscapes, mixed borders, or in foundation plantings. Will tolerate some sun in average well-drained soils.
